Moñitos does not only call out to relax by the beach, the region’s cultural tourism is part of its magic as most of its inhabitants are natives coming from a mixture of Afro-descendants and Syrian-Lebanese migrants. This mixture of cultures is reflected in its wide gastronomic offer where they use ingredients such as sesame seeds and eggplant. Panocha, sesame balls, crab rice, mongo mongo, carimañola and egg arepa are some of the dishes that you must taste before leaving Moñitos.
